The Music of the Eighties ...

We can certainly say that the '80s were the years of pop. Pop music, easier to consume, the more catchy and even danceable, has enjoyed an explosion thanks to the development and spread of electronics in the composition of a song. Back in the '70s thanks to the evolution of the first, but certainly quality dance music there was the feeling that the pop was dominated in the years to remember seguire.Basti groups as "Abba" and "Buggles" for example; or "Donna Summer", "Gloria Gaynor" "Barry White" and "Bee Gees". All these artists have brought pop music of unquestioned value and success. The song "Video Killed The Radio Star" of the "Buggles" closed the decade 1970/80 and opened the door all'elettropop 80s. Indeed, the decade began with a song from the Guinness Book of Records in terms of sales, "Enola Gay" the British "Orchestral Manouvres In The Dark", the more easily remembered as "OMD". Andy McKluskey, leader of the group, expressed by "Enola Gay" a fast pace with a catchy melody that mysterious but well-made piece of text: the explosion of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The Omd accounted for much of the music scene in English and then have continued to produce songs of great success: "If You Leave," "So In Love," "Dreaming" and, in the '90s, "Pandora's Box," "Walking On The Milky Way. Some of the tracks were produced by OMD Stephen Hague, one of the most important music producers of international pop in the '80s. Thanks to him have been discovered bands like "Pet Shop Boys" and "Bronski Beat", are his many collaborations and productions with "Jimmy Somerville", "New Order "and" Erasure ". In the early '90s launched the all-female duo revelation of" Banderas ". A feature common to all these artists is to have proposed and propose again secure electronic pop music and originality intense melodies. Remaining in England, still in the early '80 'we can not forget the duo of "ABC" format from Martin Fry and Mark White. Songs like "The Look Of Love," "SOS," "Poison Arrow" bring their signature. Mention here all the artists who made history in the '80s is impossible. We started by members best British electropop and then having to spend a few words about Depeche Mode and Erasure on. We support these two groups for the simple reason that the mind of Erasure, Vince Clarke, was in the early '80s, a member of Depeche Mode. The early success of the DM "Everything Counts" and "Just Can not Get Enough." Vince Clarke will form in 1983 the "Yazoo" teaming with "Alison Moyet". His songs are "Do not Go" and "Situation". Since 1986, paired with singer Andy Bell, offers a success after another in the name of "Erasure". The Erasure between 1988 and 1991 were a phenomenon of exceptional size in England. They took a tour around Europe, rich in spectacular scenery and exciting special effects. And 'the apotheosis of the English techno-pop. Depeche Mode, however, have always been more consistent in their musical path. Their success has increased in hard disk so that today they are still top of the charts in Europe thanks to the estimation of their fans but mostly thanks to their sound always ed'effetto innovative. We feel obliged to name a few, the songs "Strangelove" (1987), "Enjoy The Silence" (1989), "Walking In My Shoes" (1994) and "Home" (1998). The touch of genius in the '80s, however, comes from the duo of "Pet Shop Boys." Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe as well as having composed songs such as exceptional "Suburbia," "It's A Sin", "Rent," "Domino Dancing" and the latest "Can You Forgive Her?", "So Hard" "Being Boring" "If A Vida E", were the authors of major recording projects such as the return of Dusty Springfiled music, queen of soul in the 60s and died in 1999 because of a tumor and Liza Minnelli. For these two good singers Pet Shop Boys have written songs of great quality as the soundtrack for the film "Scandal" for the first album "Results" contains the famous song "Losing My Mind" for the second. But the Pet Shop Boys have also produced an album of "Eight Wonder" whose leader was the wonderful "Patsy Kensit. Unforgettable song "I'm Not Scared." In addition, among other things written and produced, we recall the collaborations with Boy George (the soundtrack to the film "The Crying Game") and David Bowie ("Spaceboy" in the '90s). About Boy George, in addition to his solo songs in the late 80s ("Everything I Own," "Sold" and "No Clause 28") to remember the great adventure in the "Culture Club", a group in the '80s was a huge success. Trai tracks include "Do You Really Want To Hurts Me?". David Bowie, however, not to mention its beautiful record, we want to remember in what was a duet than in 1984, accompanied by Pat Metheny sang the magic song "This Is Not America." But the 80s were full of excellent songs. A particular current pop music is that which arises in the '70s with the Frenchman Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield to the British. These artists were talked about music. No text in their tracks but only pleasing harmonies and choruses easily assimilated. Mike Oldfield's work, however, more complex: his instrumental masterpiece "Tubular Bells" in 1973 remains unique in the history of international music. Of note Jarre "Oxygene", "Equinoxe" and "Magnetic Fields"; Oldfield, in addition to his instrumental album following a "Tubular Bells" we must also record the songs sung as "Moonlight Shadow" 1983 and "To France" in 1984 . In these passages, in which we can see the traditional English atmosphere, the vocal part is entrusted to the talented Maggie Reilly which will be the star of solo albums. In the '80s, then, the pop was really appreciated in all its forms: from the instrumental tracks to songs sung by the songs more complex than simple disco. The quality of this pop music is commendable. In disco dancing to the rhythm tracks over which they also had a non-trivial text and were also very melodic. They danced to the disco groups like the Pet Shop Boys, Fine Young Cannibals, the Bronski Beat (authors in 1984 of the famous "Smalltown Boy"), groups that also like to an audience not typically clubbers. But the lions, in a disco in the '80s, they made it, as always, the Italians. Many were, in fact, the artists launched by the authors and producers of Italy: Sandy Marton ("People From Ibiza), Spain (" Easy Lady "), Raf (" Self Control "), Taffy, Tom Hooker, Den Harrow ("Do not Break My Heart, "" Mad Desire "," Bad Boy "), Gazebo (" Masterpiece "," I Like Chopin "," Lunatic "), Righeira (" The Summer Is Ending, "" Vamos A La Playa "and" No Tengo Dinero "). In addition Italians were also added to the best producers in Germany. First and foremost, Dieter Bohlen, mind and member of the duo of" Modern Talking "with Thomas Anders. Between 1985 and 1988, have sold more Modern Talking than sixty million albums worldwide and in the late nineties have restarted their machine successful. Their greatest hits are: "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" (1985), "Cheri Cheri Lady "(1985)," Brother Louie "(1986)," Atlantis Is Calling (SOS For Love)" (1986), "Geronimo’s Cadillac (1986), "Jet Airliner (1987)" e "In 100 Years" (1987). Tra i successi di Sandra ricordiamo "Maria Magdalena" (1985), "Secret Land (1987)" and "Little Girl (1985)" by Michael Cretu mention, however, "Samurai" (1985) and, paired with Thiers, "When Love Is The Missing Words" (1987 ) from the album "Belle Epoque". Michael Cretu and Sandra, in 1990, founded the band Enigma proposing ethnic sounds mixed with Gregorian chants but inspired pop. We can say that with this excellent experiment Enigma paved the way for the music, "new age". We are aware, what was the major trend in the 80s: an electronic music, pop, melodic and above all well composed. But in addition to the artists mentioned the music scene in those years was very rich. As in every decade that respects the groups are loved by young girls. Unlike what happens today, music groups, from "beautiful" was still of great quality and we can certainly say that the fact of having been labeled as a target group for very young did not help the longevity of their career . The two teams "rivals" were Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet, but there were also A-Ha and captained by George Michael's Wham. Unlike their colleagues in the main, Duran Duran, Spandau and A-Ha, have not maintained a consistent success in the 90s and this is explained just by the fact that it represented too much of a specific slice of the public, whether or not certainly not their fault! Components Duran Duran enjoyed experiences in solo (John Taylor, for example) and their biggest hits are "Wild Boys," "Notorious," "Save A Prayer" and so on ... we can not list them all. Spandau we can remember, "Gold", "Through The Barricades" and the bellssima A-Ha "Take On Me" and also "Stay On These Roads" and "The Livin Daylights" (score of 007, 1987). Unlike the speech for Wham, in the late 80s, the duo of George Michael and Andy Ridgeley melts and the great George begins a glorious solo career. The good thing is that many of the 80 artists have managed to carve out a slice of great success and then disappear. The so-called "meteors" of the '80s, but many are unforgettable with their songs, always in style melodic techno-pop, the '80s have raised to the rank of a decade timeless. We name a few: The Twins ("Face To Face, Heart To Heart"), William Pitt ("City Lights"), Masquerade ("Guardian Angel"), Pepsi & Shirlie ("Heartache"), FR Davids ("Words "), Visage (Fade To Grey"), Living In A Box (Living In A Box "), Johnny Hates Jazz (" Shattered Dreams "). Masquerade of you know that after the success of 1984 gave birth to the project in 1987 "Mixed Emotions" with the famous song "You Want Love (Maria, Maria) and the Living In A Box is known to cooperate with yet another great artist of the 80s: Mike Francis (his famous "Survivor" in 1984 which was re-interpreted in English by Belen Thomas in 1989). Among the major pieces, in addition, we can not forget the decade 80/90 "Live Is Life" Opus. All these artists have made a full decade. Those who have closely followed this series of memories will have noticed that I have not even talked about Madonna, U2, Bruce Sprengsteen, Eurytmics, considered by many, the real historical figures of the 80s! It 's true, Madonna was great interpreter of great songs and was mostly a good editor of his immagine.Capricciosa, transgressive, original, Madonna has been very much in the musical world. Include "Like A Virgin," "Material Girl", "Live To Tell", "Holidays", "Who's That Girl?" ... The "Boss", however, is an expression of rock music, country, America. Here we remember him citing "Born In The USA". U2, they also tend to rock, brought unique in the history of music: "With Or Without You," "Pride (In The Name Of Love)." Of these three artists I wanted to talk less because apart from being enveloped by the still successful, are those most frequently mentioned when talking about the 80s. My intention in this text, is to go back a decade yes Music but above all to remember that people play with less visible and less songs can now be transmitted to revive. Two words apart, they deserve, however, the Eurytmics. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart offer an electronic pop and rhythm in line with the general trend of the decade, although we must say that Eurytmics must be considered among the instigators of this trend and not one of the many groups born in the wake of a trend. The magical "Sweet Dreams" in 1983 finally opened the doors of success to the English band, which will propose later, among the many successes, "Here Comes To Rain Again" and "You Have Place Chill In My Heart." The Eurytmics suspend the activities in the early 90s and is working to successful careers solo, but ready to come back at any time. Annie Lennox was an original female character, but in the 80 women who came to the success were many. Besides the above mentioned Madonna and Sandra would like to remind the talented Basia, female leader of the trio of Matt White and eccentric Cyndi Lauper. I remember the first refined style, the pleasant voice and the sympathy that was apparent from his singing ("Whose Side Are You On?"), The second recall with pleasure the original look and ringing voice and incomparable "Girls Just Want To Have Fun. " Other successes are Cyndi Lauper: "Time After Time" and "True Colours". In short, I think you understand, you could go on almost endlessly talking about all the artists who populated the '80s! I could also talk about Chris Rea ("On The Beach", "Josephine"), or the Australian Men At Work ("Down Under"), the Trio ("Da Da Da"), the Christians ("Born Again" "Ideal World"), and so on. The international landscape was vast: from France, for example, came from time to time as the overwhelming success of "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless, "Etienne" Guesh to Patti, "A Cause De Garcon" homonyms A Cause De Garcon and "C'est La Oute Catherine Loeb. From Austria, however, came a strange and original character: Falco. Just forty years Falco died in a car accident in 1998, reflecting the warmth of the audience, his songs still get a huge European success. His most famous songs are "Der Kommissar" and "Rock Me Amadeus." And in Italy? Great artists in Italian in the '80s, unique style and skill were Mango ("Australia", "Gold," "She will," "Beautiful Summer"), author of a pop and a large Mediterranean class, Sugar, rocker and more extravagant ("Foo", "Respect", "With These Hands"), Vasco Rossi, the idol of young people ("Brava Giulia", "Reckless", "Vado Al Massimo ',' C ' Says it is "....), Antonello Venditti, Roman and romantic (Centocittà "," Roma Capoccia "," Julius Caesar ". ...) And then, again, Claudio Baglioni, Eros Ramazzotti ... obviously were not the only ones these people are still among the most beloved of the Italian public.

How to understand the thin line that separates them and dstingue, if the dreams are part of us, sometimes more of reality, so they are not more real than reality itself? If
figment of the imagination and reality of our limited material senses, how can we believe that cecmente that is the only truth?
when our own senses are so easily altered by the smallest trifle, how can we base all our certainties about something so ethereal and vacuous?

Any Good Slow Juke Songs

reflections midnight

what I learned?
I learned to laugh and smile when the only thing I wanted to do was cry and hide.
I learned to be strong;
I learned not to judge, or your guest one day judge you, I learned
che quando non ce la fai più e ti vuoi solo fermare, devi stringere i denti e continuare,
perché la vita non aspetta che tu riprenda fiato, e raccolga i tuoi cocci, continua imperterrita;
non ho imparato a non cadere, a non sbagliare; ma ho imparato a rialzarmi velocemente, a leccarmi le ferite, e andare avanti, in ogni condizione;
ho imparato che le ferite fisiche in qualche modo passano sempre, quelle mentali mai, e quelle del cuore sono difficili;
ho imparato ad ascoltare solo ciò che volevo;
e ho imparato a mio malgrado, che a volte bisogna sopprimere il cuore, o lui sopprimerà te;
ho imparato che non puoi scegliere i sentimenti a living, but only if you want to live them (all) or not;
I learned that fate and a bitch for better or for worse;
and life and a mirror, cruel, brutal, real, sincere, but that if the smile she always repay you;
as you hide that you're always naked, and you seem like the most pathetic, and missed opportunities of your life;
and run as far and fast, will not be enough, only one waste of time;
that the problems seen by Lost seem insurmountable, but up close they really are pathetic;
that life does not have to wait, she is always ready and be at your side;
I learned to love and to suffer;
and I learned that there are two sides of same coin, one would never exist without the other;
I learned distance, afar, the posting
I learned that the same thing that makes you look like part of something, it automatically makes you unique, and is the same thing that makes you a stranger in the midst of your fellows;
I learned about diversity, loss, loneliness;
I learned that if I feel lonely and you too together we can be alone together, and this makes us all feel much better;
but mostly I learned that it will stop but to learn.
